Black Lives Matter.

Hi everyone.

If you follow me on Instagram, or if you know me in real life, you know that I have been very vocal about the Black Lives Matter movement and the injustice that is prevalent not just in America, but around the world. I thought it would be foolish and irresponsible on me to not use this blog as a platform. Today I'm sharing the resources that I have been utilizing and reading and learning from over the past week.

This list is in no way, shape, or form comprehensive. There are hundreds of sites and articles and resources out there, which I implore you to research and support. Remember that social media, such as Instagram, provides great information and resources, but also remember to verify these sources through traditional media as well. There is a lot of false info out there, on both kinds of media, so reach out to others and help each other get the facts straight.

Please be vocal. Please be angry and active and aware.

THINGS TO KNOW

-If you are protesting in NYC, know that Habeus Corpus has been lifted. This is not constitutional, but it has happened. It means that anyone can be arrested and detained for however long the police feel like it. I'm sure the situation will develop further. Here is an article better explaining it: https://www.highsnobiety.com/p/habeas-corpus-explained/

- The Minneapolis City Council Members have announced their intent to disband the Minneapolis Police Department and invest in community-led public safety. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/majority-minneapolis-city-council-commits-dismantling-city-s-police-department-n1227116
